Hey there everyone...well unfortunately we are already at the end of the nice long weekend. Back to work tomorrow!!
The last week has been pretty eventful. Last Saturday night Jay got a text message from a friend telling him that someone was interested in buying the trailer. Sunday we went out on the river with Chris and Val and that day the guy who is interested in buying it called. He and Jay set up a time for him to come view it on Monday evening. So, Sunday & Monday evenings were spent furiously cleaning and organizing stuff at the trailer for when he came to view it. By Tuesday evening, he called Jay to tell him he's interested in buying it and was lining things up with his bank. So, without even listing it, we might have the trailer sold! There still is an inspection and some paperwork to take care of, but that would be a huge relief to have that taken care of before we move into our new home! (And if this falls through the trailer court manager said he would buy it at the same price - so either way I guess it's sold!) We have arranged to have a portable rental unit delivered to the trailer on Sept. 19 so we can move almost everything into that until we move into the house - they will pick it up, store it for a month or so and then deliver it to the new house. Well worth the money!
The rest of the week we were busy of course with work, etc. So, by the time Friday evening rolled around we were ready to kick back and watch a movie, which is what we did.
We did make it out to the house a couple times this past week as well and here are the newer pictures. The interior ones look like the ones from before except with the ceilings painted white. The exterior ones show the front porch and sidewalk concrete poured...

Now, when Gabe plays in the NFL someday, we can say we were at his very first game! ;)
Back to the weekend....after kicking back by ourselves on Friday evening, we decided to hit the furniture stores around town for round 2 of shopping for a king size bed, bedroom set and dining room table. We think we have some selections narrowed down, now we just have to bite the bullet and get them ordered/purchased!
Saturday evening we went to a BBQ/house-warming party at Ryan & Raumi's house. We spent most of the evening there...and had another stray dog wander into our party. (Remember this episode from the weekend of the 4th of July). Unfortunately we were not able to locate the owner for this dog at Ryan & Raumi's but hopefully he made his way home safely. Jay's good friend Cody also was home this weekend and he and his brothers-in-law came to Ryan & Raumi's for awhile and then they came to the trailer to visit for a bit. Cody lived in the trailer with Jay a couple times over the years so knowing we are going to be moved out the next time he's home, he had to come over for one more evening.
Sunday I was pretty productive in the morning and then for the afternoon, we hit the river one more time with Chris & Val and the girls. Ryan, Raumi & Kelsen also came with as well as Mike & Carrie Gerving and the kids. It was a fun day, though really windy. After we spent the afternoon there, we went over to Chris & Val's for supper with everyone.
Today has been a rainy/stormy/dreary day. We haven't managed to get much done, although Jay has picked up the activity level by starting to pack up all the DVD's and VHS tapes we have. I will join him as soon as I get done blogging! :) We did meet Val & Brian and the kids out at our house to give them the first tour of it for awhile. Val was so thoughtful and brought some cake that she had made! (Delicious!) Thanks Val!
Well I suppose I better start helping Jay out a bit here...a shorter work week ahead which is nice. Starting Thursday evening, we are going to start installation of the hardwood floor we ordered. I guess the "crew" is going to consist of Jay, me, Dan & Jake. So.....if anyone else wants to join us and has any experience installing hardwood flooring....you are more than welcome!!
Have a great week everyone!!
